As part of a semester project in DTU I worked on imaging palladium nanoparticles in Shewanella bacteria. This was done in the center for electron nanoscopy using an environmental scanning electron microscope. During this project I acquired hands on experience on using a SEM, practised using a microtome, learned how to deal with non conductive specimens and got an introduction to biological specimen preparation.
